LEONA HUMPHRIES
Board Member

​​Leona is a community activist and advocate for comprehensive, DEI (diversity, equality, and inclusion) education policy. She is committed to making her community a place where all citizens can thrive. Her passion for volunteerism began during her undergraduate studies. As a parent of an adult with Asperger’s, she combined her professional and academic skills to support other parents and families with neurodiverse children. Leona enjoys engaging with young people through education. In 2020, she taught the seven-week, online Community Justice Fellowship Program for 9 to 5, the National Association for Working Women. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Education in education policy and leadership through American University.​
